From the past to the future… The story of the glass.

The history of the glass goes back to ancient times. Although it is unclear when it was first produced, the oldest glassware available is ancient Egyptian beads from around 2500 BC. In later Egyptian findings, glass containers with feather-like colored zigzag patterns are encountered. Mosaic making in the modern sense by using glass was first seen in Ptolemaic period in Alexandria and Ancient Roman civilizations.
